"Guess What Just Happened!"

This is the most recent picture I have of Scott and the girls, until my 15 rolls of vacation film, gets developed. Yes, we are still in the darkages regarding cameras. Maelynn always asks to see herself after every picture is taken. She gets tired of waiting 2 weeks! Yes, we are wishing and hoping for a digital camera for Christmas, or Scott's birthday (it's sooner!)

Ok, nobody reads this, but I will tell about my day...it's good for me to remember!
It started with Emma and Maelynn coming out of the bedroom saying, "Mom guess what just happened!" Always a bad statement coming from a 3 & 5 year old. But Emma proceeds to tell me that she has just led Maley to the Lord. I say, "Emma, that is wonderful, but I don't think Maelynn understands just yet." And Emma says, "Yes she does. I told her all about Jesus and that He died on the cross for her sins (and she does sin, mom, ya know) and then she prayed after me." And Maley is standing there and says "Right, mom, me say Jesus come in me hart (heart in her language) and BOOM! He came in me hart!" Now, how to argue with that? I always want to be careful not to put into their little heads that they got saved when they were young, if they don't remember it for theirselves. But, I mean, really, caring for her sister's soul at 5! Afterwards, Emma looks at Maelynn and says, "Good, now you don't have to go to hell!"

Well, other than mowing the yard in this sweltering heat, that's all that I can find interesting for today. I don't know how hot it is in Nova Scotia, but it is miserable here. The humidity is horrid. But the big bonus is, it's nice and cool in the house - maybe even a little bit chilly. After living in the heat and humidity of Ottawa with no AC, I still say a silent prayer of thanks when I walk into my very cool house. Most people get frozen when they stay in here for any length of time, but I'm making up for 6 years of sweat in Ontario! Well, until tomorrow...

I don't mind the heat & humidity at all. Bring it on. But of course we have the pool to jump in when it gets too much. :)

Hi Christy, don't know if you'll recognize my name or not, but I'm from Weston Church, and I went through high school with Scott. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm popping in--there, now I don't feel like I'm spying on you! I'm brand new to blogging as well, and I have to admit that I'm just loving it!
